What this newsletter is all about...

Greetings! This is an introductory post before I actually start posting "real" content.

This newsletter is about what I call "The Five Essentials": the things everyone is going to need to deal with the coming future. What are "the Five Essentials"? They are as follows:

1. Philosophy

2. Attitude

3. Knowledge

4. Skills

5. Technology

This obviously covers a lot of ground - and so will this newsletter.

I’m going to be discussing everything from political and social philosophy to attitude principles to facts about the world, humanity and history to foreign affairs to how to prepare to survive the reality of the world as it is and the coming future as I see it to the physical devices you might find useful to deal with life as it is and as it may or will be.

All of this will come from my own perspective which is that of an individualist anarchist, radical Transhumanist, hacker, prepper, misanthrope and all-around “curmudgeon”. I describe myself in my bio as “radical, heretical, unconventional, politically incorrect and occasionally downright weird.” In fact, I tend to think of myself as a combination of Star Trek’s “Mr. Spock” – and Heath Ledger’s “The Joker.”

And that’s what you can expect from this newsletter. If you’re not used to having your belief system beaten with a sledgehammer, you might want to beware!

However, if you stick with me, you might just gain an advantage over the rest of the species.
